Box camera with its original carton and an unexposed spool

Ends in16:17:42

The object

A rollholder box camera in its printed carton, with a sealed spool of the wrong film for it and a leather strap that has never been used. Two speeds and two apertures, which is the whole of the controls. The bellows closes flat against the body when squeezed, and there is a leak at the bottom fold that shows against a window.

Flaws disclosed by the holder

• The bellows leaks at the bottom fold — visible against daylight.
• The shutter sticks on one of its two speeds.

Where it came from

One of three the holder’s grandmother won at a fair in the fifties; two were given away and this one came back in a box with the film still sealed, which the holder thinks is the best part of it.
